The Givers and Takers

There are two kinds of people in this world: the givers and the takers. The takers are the ones who believe their life is the sum-total of what they can get from the world. They plan and scheme of ways to get all that they want - money, jobs, relationships, etc. Some Truth students may try to legitimize this by thinking of it as “making demonstrations,” but they are still takers. The givers are those who are totally convinced that life is for giving. Their subtle motivation in all things is to give themselves away, in love, in service, and in all the many ways in which they can invest their life. They are always secure, for they know that their true good flows forth from within. You, too, can discover the wonder of giving, and your life will become full and you will experience fulfillment in all ways. Make a commitment to giving as the major thrust of your life...and watch what happens. By Eric Butterworth
